“This blog is an entry to Perfect World’s Lost Empire blog contest where they are giving away in-game items and the Perfect World iPod.”

In the past few months, Perfect World Philippines had been experiencing a downhill battle against players’ boredom. Old players started losing the thrill of playing. They stopped going online and just visit for approximately 3 hours a week whenever there was a territorial war.

The last three patches prior to the latest patch (Shenwu Valley, Moon Valley, Frost City) were failures. I say failures because they only generated a handful of players trying the new dungeons out. I myself didn’t even try Shenwu Valley. Why for? I have no reason to try it out.

The latest patch changed all that. With the GM initiated events and LU rewards, the latest patch combined all the previous patches in a much awaited 1st expansion. Check out the new features of Perfect World Philippines!

1. Boss Cards – will enable a player to summon a boss
2. Cube of Fate – a daily dungeon for individuals
3. Equipment – new craftable items. some are imba.
4. Quests – definitely good coz we get more exp with some daily quests
5. New maps – Ancient Perfect World
6. Tournament – a new system event every thursday
7. Esteem – chance for level 100 characters to get the 3rd fairy

Imagine the new dungeons that were rarely used before… with the new Lost Empire patch, people are now required to visit Shenwu Valley to get the 3rd fairy. So Shenwu Valley is now a common dungeon especially for highbies. The LU Rewards giving out a chant -3 manteau paved the way for players to check out Frost City to get the materials needed for the said manteau. Of course since players are now visiting Shenwu, better equipment are a must for players. So now players visit Moon Valley to get that better equipment for their characters. Lastly the level 89 Heaven dungeon is also a very visited dungeon now with many players trying out the Achievement Quest.

This patch is really a great boost for the Perfect World Community. This ensures that old players and bored highbies can have a reason to play again. Hopefully until the next major patch comes along. I wonder when will that be.
